Aged 38 or 39? Book your Covid jab now, says region s NHS

People aged 38 and 39 can now book in for Covid-19 jabs

Vaccine appointments are now available for people aged 38 and 39 Around a million people have been sent text messages today (Thursday) inviting them to book an appointment - but anyone aged 38 and over can now book directly at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119. The move to the next age group comes following three quarters of people aged 40 and 49 being given their first dose. People under 40 and pregnant women will be offered the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine in line with updated JCVI guidance last week and will be directed to local centres that are offering these vaccines. Dr Phil Wood, who heads up the West Yorkshire Vaccination Programme, is urging people to book as soon as possible.

Wood: Inclusive Narrative

Wood: Inclusive Narrative A recent PBS broadcast featured the response to the Covid-19 Pandemic in Australia. An article in Forbes tells us what we can learn from their response. Dr. Fauci praised them for their actions. These are the points mentioned in the article. 1) Act quickly and decisively based on incoming data. 2) Bipartisan unity is essential to emergency response. 3) Social capital builds trust amongst the public. 4) Meaningfully engage with different communities to find out what they need. (Forbes, Mar 24, 2021) The Australian success reminded me of an article on the website of the Baha i World News Service. “100 years of fostering unity” (bwns.org) The article mentions a series of meetings held in locations all over Australia. Discussion meetings were held to consider the future of their country. The results of the meetings are reported in a document with the title. Creating an inclusive narrative. Dismal draw sees more precious points trickle away

Dismal draw sees more precious points trickle away 1 Posted 13/05/2021 at 17:05:58 Tough on Tom but it makes sense I suppose. Maybe Sigurdsson on the bench with Doucouré given a freer role would have pleased many of us. We will see! Ray Smith 2 Posted 13/05/2021 at 17:09:14 I ve tuned in to Sky to watch the build up to the match, and what do we get? Man Utd & Liverpool. Typical Sky, totally ignoring Everton & Villa. Dave Ganley 3 Posted 13/05/2021 at 17:11:00 Yeah, I agree, a bit harsh on Tom but Doucouré gives us so much more energy and presence in the midfield. Decent line-up, just hope that Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have their firing boots on.

Remembering Ulverston s high class Baycliffe butcher and baker service

The name was earlier spelled Baycliffe and some residents who grew up there still use that spelling. PIE: Phil Wood with a selection of pies at The Farm Shop, Baycliffe, in 2003 In 2003 one of The Mail’s weekly business profiles featured The Farm Shop in the village, which was run by Martin and Helen Barlow. The article referred to how 16 years earlier Martin, working as a small farmer and selling home-made vegetables, needed a new potato store. Having previously been involved in building work he was determined to make a good job of it. So much so, in fact, that his neighbours joked: “What are you building? A farm shop?”
