A man caught with a knife in public and a 35-year-old who committed a sex act in front of a packed bus stop have both appeared in court this week.
Oldbury fire twitter TWO people have been taken to hospital after a car crash in Oldbury this morning. Three cars crashed in Birchfield Lane outside the Bulls Head pub at around 10.47am today (Monday February 22). A woman who was the driver of one of the cars and a man who was a front seat passenger in one car were both treated at the scene for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Sandwell Hospital. A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: We were called to reports of a three-car RTC on Birchfield Lane at 10.47am. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene.
Pic: Google A MAIN Oldbury road has closed for a week, causing disruption for motorists, while urgent sewer repair works are carried out. Birchfield Lane, off Birchley Island, closed to traffic today (Tuesday January 12) until next Tuesday (January 19) in the direction of Blackheath. Sandwell Council said the closure is likely to cause disruption to all routes in the area and urged motorists to avoid the area at busy times. It said motorists will not be able to turn right on to the McDonald’s car park off Birchfield Lane for the duration of the works. Amey and Severn Trent are carrying out repairs to sewers in the area.
