Republicans see battle for soul of party after Donald Trumpâs acquittal

Washington - A day after the Senate acquitted Donald Trump in a historic second impeachment trial, America was weighing how long a shadow the former president, even with a tarnished legacy, will continue to cast - over his party, and over the country.
As much of the world watched, the Senate on Saturday voted 57-43 to convict Trump of inciting the January 6 assault on the US Capitol.
It was a stinging rebuke, with seven Republicans joining all Democrats in the most bipartisan impeachment vote ever, but it fell short of the 67 votes needed for conviction.

AS SOON AS WE GOT BACK TO THE CAR I CHECKED MY POCKET WHERE I , HAD PUT IT AND IT WASNT THERE. HE’S TALKING ABOUT A RING. BUT NOT JUST ANY RING A CLASS RING FROM HIS ALMA MATER THE PRESITIGIOUS MILITARY SCHOOL, NORWICH UNIVERSITY IT’S A HUGE TRADITION AT THE SCHOOL. IT DATES BACK TO, LIKE, 1923. I WAS PRETTY CRUSHED. I DIDN’T THINK I WOULD EVER SEE IT AGAIN. BUT 3 MONTHS LATER A TOTAL STRANGER, USING A METAL DETECTOR ON HAMPTON BEACH, STRUCK A TARGET. I STARTED DIGGING. Class Ring Lost on Hampton Beach Found Its Way Back to Its Owner
Back in mid July 2020 at Hampton Beach, NH, Cyran Willis lost his ring at low tide. It was dark and there was no chance he was going to find it. But this was no ordinary ring! This was his class ring from a prestigious military school called Norwich University.
It is very meaningful to Cyran and not to mention MASSIVE! He was pretty bummed he lost it.
Fast forward a few months to September 15th, 2020. A guy named Brian Knowlton is doing his thing and metal detecting at Hampton Beach State Park Campground. He came upon a loud sounding target. BEEP BEEP BEEP!
