The Australian Army continues to modernise with the latest high-tech equipment such as NVGs on the way.
Australia’s Department of Defence announced on 10 December that the country’s military will soon be sporting a ‘cutting-edge night-fighting capability’ thanks to new night vision goggles (NVG).
The contract awarded to Mission Systems Australia was worth A$173 million ($130 million), and it covers more than 5,500 .

Security of supply agreement is worth €20 million per year
Nammo and the Finnish Defense Forces (FDF) have built on their existing relationship with a new long-term strategic partnership, signed on 9 December during a ceremony at Finnish Defense Command in Helsinki.
The partnership is worth an estimated €20 million ($24.23 million) per year and will remain in force until further notice, Nammo noted in a statement.
In particular, Nammo will help the FDF to manage the full supply chain for ammunition.
The Finnish Minister of Defence approved the new agreement on 20 November. It continues the security of supply agreement between the FDF and Nammo, which was signed in 2014.
