FN Herstal has developed a new version of its weapon-mounted ballistic calculator for snipers, precision shooters and spotters.
FN Elity (pictured mounted on an FN SCAR-H Tactical Precision Rifle with scope) is specifically designed to fit onto spotting scopes and any squad or sniper team weapon of any calibre.
Operational feedback collected from around the world in 2020 led to ‘improvements in terms of ergonomics and usability’, FN Herstal announced when launching the product on 17 February.
Features include a laser rangefinder that can reach a human-sized target up to 1,750m away; visible and IR laser pointers; an IR illuminator with variable light intensity and adjustable beam cone; and ballistic solver software to provide real time shooting corrections and calculate the bullet trajectory.
