The Sherbrooke Phoenix will select first overall at the 2021 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) Entry Draft, after winning the lottery draw held on Tuesday.
The draw determined the order of the first five selections. QMJHL Commissioner Gilles Courteau, Director of Communications Maxime Blouin, and several media members were present to supervisor the event.
The Phoenix had three lottery balls in the mix and a 14 per cent chance of winning the draw. The Cape Breton Eagles will select second overall, despite having a 28 per cent chance of claiming the first overall pick.

OTTAWA - The Canucks had their way with the Senators in a three-game sweep in late January, outscoring Ottawa by a combined 16-3 score in Vancouver.
Monday night proved to be far more difficult, showing the progress the young Senators have made since. The Canucks needed an overtime goal from J.T Miller and 44 saves from goaltender Thatcher Demko to dispatch the stubborn Senators 3-2.
