Vadodara: The Vadodara railway division of Western Railway has implemented a group insurance scheme covering over 10,000 employees.
With the consent of all the recognized unions and associations, Vadodara railway division has implemented the LIC group insurance scheme for its 10,628 employees from the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Benevolent Fund.
Those employees who had opted voluntarily for the scheme have been covered under it, DRM Amit Gupta informed on Wednesday.
Gupta informed that under the scheme Rs 1 lakh life insurance cover is available to those who expire while in service for any reason natural, illness, Covid among others against a yearly premium of Rs 420 per person.
ECoR GM inspects Berhampur railway station PTI
Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Vidya Bhushan inspected the Berhampur railway station in Odisha’s Ganjam district to take stock of the facilities needed to be established as part of its redevelopment plan.
Bhushan said the Berhampur station would be provided with modern amenities and the circulating area would also be developed and beautified.
The station will be developed with aesthetic lighting, besides improved signage and passenger amenities, including a waiting hall, Bhushan told reporters Wednesday.
On the resumption of normal train services, the official said the ECoR was in constant touch with the Odisha government on the matter.
