KINGSTON – It started on Earth Day but stretched through the weekend as neighbors wearing gloves and carrying trash bags provided by the town helped put a dent in the scourge of litter throughout Kingston.
The Keep Kingston Clean event that took place over the previous weekend was a terrific success, according to Kim Emberg, who spearheaded the event as one of a group of residents who reached out across the town to clean up Kingston.
“What started as a conversation on social media resulted in successful coordination and collaboration between residents, businesses, and town employees to gather and dispose of over 50 full bags of litter,” she said.
