‘American Idol’: See all the performances from ‘The Comeback’ episode, how to vote

Last night’s “American Idol” episode didn’t actually include anyone from this season.
The singing competition brought back 10 finalists from the previous season to compete for one second-chance spot on this season.
On Sunday night, the show narrowed down the competition to the top 9, allowing for one extra spot. Two Berklee College of Music students were part of the show but Brennan ‘Beane’ Hepler was eliminated. Grace Kinstler, however, got enough fan votes to continue.
Fans also have a chance to vote for the contestant from The Comeback episode. Fans can vote up to 10 times per voting platform.
Ten favorites take the stage before a physical audience for the first time and get a second chance at their Idol dream.
They lit up the stage during Mondayâs performances, bringing their A-game to convince viewers theyâre worthy of a vote. But it makes us wonder, is it fair to let past competitors back into the game, especially since theyâve already made it as finalists in the past?
While it would seem like special treatment, the concession makes some sense due to the fact that
American Idolâs last season was disrupted due to COVID-19. The unprecedented situation definitely jostled the normal order of things, leaving finalists to produce TV-level performances from the comfort of home by themselves.
Wyatt Pike releases song Friday Nights after American Idol exit

Wyatt Pike has released a song in the wake of his exit from American Idol.
ADVERTISEMENT The 19-year-old singer released the original song Friday Nights on Monday following his abrupt departure from American Idol Season 19. Friday Nights is available on streaming platforms. Pike also shared a video for the song that shows him singing and playing acoustic guitar at home. As promised, here s a video of my tune Friday Nights ! I had fun filming this for you yesterday, hope you enjoy! he wrote on Instagram.
Fellow American Idol alums Franklin Boone and Nick Merico showed their support for Pike in the comments.
