Huntsville Senior Softball Recreation League celebrated its 20th year with a barbecue and two five-inning games July 27. Bernita Reese, director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Huntsville, threw out the first pitch on field 1 at Brahan Spring Park. July is Parks and Recreation Month. “As always we honor our, as we say, our ‘seasoned’ residents,” Reese said. The league is co-sponsored by Huntsville Parks and Recreation and the Huntsville Senior Center.
