PROVIDING A PLACE TO LAY THEIR HEAD AT NIGHT, OUT OF THE COLD, TWO MEALS A DAY AND ACCESS TO SHOWERS. THE CITY IS LOOKING TO ADD SOCIAL SERVICES TO THE SITE AS WELL. WITH IT’S DOORS CLOSED FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M., IT’S TEMPORARY REFUGE FROM BITTER COLD WEATHER. RIGHT NOW THE WARMING CENTER ATTENTION BUT WE HAVE SO MANY OTHER INITIATIVES THROUGH THE CITY AND OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP FAMILIES WHO ARE ON THE VERGE OF BEING UNHOUSED AND THERE ARE RESOURCES OUT THERE AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS CONNECTING PEOPLE TO THOSE RESOURCES.
