EMERGENCY CREWS CALLED OUT FOR BASEMENT PUMPING, LINES AND TREES DOWN By Josh Widdowson

Emergency crews were busy with more calls for utility lines down and calls for trees down and basement pumping on Monday and early this morning.
Indiana County 911 reported that a vehicle crash into a utility pole on Route 286 called out the Aultman Fire Department and state police to the scene at 2:23 PM. The crash was classified as a hit-and-run. State police have not reported any details on the crash.
Two more calls for utility lines were reported at 6:37 PM on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township and at 7:51 PM along Route 403 North in Pine Township. Clyde and Pine Township fire departments were dispatched to those incidents respectively.

A Marion Center teenager is charged in connection with a domestic assault that happened Friday afternoon at a location on Pearce Hollow Road in Rayne Township. State police say that the 16-year-old was involved in an argument with her mother when it escalated and resulted in the daughter slapping her mother in the face and strangling her. Visible injuries were seen on both mother and daughter. The daughter was taken into custody and after processing by state police, she was released to Indiana County Juvenile Probation.

An Indiana woman faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon for an incident Friday night in Armstrong Township. Police say that an argument between 46-year-old Deidre Richards and 47-year-old Donald Richards at a home on Sylvan Acres Road turned violent as she hit him multiple times with a hammer. She was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment and is now in Indiana County Jail after she failed to post $25,000 bail.
