These teachers have been working at BBMP’s primary and high schools. Keeping in mind the bleak chances of schools reopening before October or even December this year, BBMP Special Commissioner (Finance) has forwarded this proposal to the higher authorities for approval. However, this decision has also welcomed criticism. “It is unfair and inhuman to terminate contract teachers while the BBMP is generously spending huge amounts on the deputed engineers working in various departments.
