During interaction with reporters, he also stressed on the need for immediate release of the “pending plan funds” and the amount “due as per the recommendations of the third and fourth Delhi Finance Commissions” to enable corporations to take up delayed developmental projects and concentrate on the core work related to sanitation, health, urban development and education.

The CBI today sought from a Delhi court the maximum seven-year jail term for former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, ex-coal secretary H C Gupta and others who have been convicted in a coal scam case, terming them as “criminals holding office”.
Special rJudge Bharat Parasha will pronounce on December 16 its order on quantum of punishment for the convicts, who have sought leniency from the court.
