CHATHAM, Va. â A Danville native and Tunstall High School alumnus was recently honored with an excellence award at James Madison University, where he is a rising senior as both a kinesiology student and member of ROTC.
Cameron Cam Rigney credited his parents and Pittsylvania County Schools for his accolade and continued success, as he continues to pursue hopes of becoming a physical therapist for the U.S. Military.
Due to COVID-19, Rigney attended an online ceremony this week where he received his award for academic excellence.
Rigney is already working on the lengthy application process necessary to become a physical therapist, which begins July 1.
