Warfield resident, Monika Taplin, runs around town in crazy costumes - here's why

Pic by Monika Taplin This has seen a huge rise in anxiety and depression and charities like Youthline are helping children manage their way through this. Since starting on February 1, Monika has raised a total of £2,173 to date, across a total of 107 different supporters. She added: By helping others and spreading this kindness I am helping my own mental wellbeing as it makes me very happy knowing that I am making a positive difference. If I can put a smile on your face, raise as much money for this great charity as possible and reduce the waiting time for even one person, then that would be amazing!

Coronavirus Cases in Bracknell Forest area-by-area

Crowthorne North no longer has the highest rate of new cases for the week ending February 9. College Town overtook this with 639.1 cases per 100,000 people. Despite cases in the city continuing to drop, Paul Bettison, Bracknell Forests council leader, has urged people to continue adhering to the lockdown rules if we want to see this decline continuing. He said: I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been following the stay at home rules – you are making a difference in our fight against COVID-19 transmission. Very sadly, some people continue to flout the rules and risk their own health and that of their loved ones.

Bracknell Forest community coronavirus testing sites revealed

If workers test positive, they and their close contacts should isolate at home immediately. Councillor Paul Bettison, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said: “Our number one priority is to keep residents as safe and well as possible and bring down our case rates. “These community testing centres will help us to identify those who could, unknowingly, be spreading the virus. “This will not only help protect our community but also help to protect local businesses from outbreaks within their workforce. “If you are eligible for community testing due to your job, please do come forward and get your twice-weekly tests.

Bracknell Leisure Centre coronavirus testing centre opens

Testing is available for everyone, with additional support for vulnerable groups and people with disabilities. Cllr Paul Bettison, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said: “I’m really pleased that Bracknell Forest residents now have a walk-through centre much closer to home – it will make testing for COVID-19 even more convenient. “If you have symptoms, it’s really important that you self-isolate straight away, alongside your household, and apply for a test at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 119. “By taking swift action if you have any of the symptoms, you can help reduce the risk of passing the virus on to your family, friends and community.”
