Bracknell Forest councillor quits borough Conservative group

Cllr Malcolm Tullett (circled and right) has quit the borough council s Conservative group A CONSERVATIVE councillor has quit the borough council’s Tory group after claiming he could not properly represent residents while sitting for the party. The shock move will mean councillor Malcolm Tullett, who was ward member for Hanworth from 2015 to 2019 and who is currently ward member for Old Bracknell, will now sit on Bracknell Forest Council as an independent councillor. The politician will continue to sit as a Conservative on Bracknell Town Council, however. Asked why he quit the borough council’s Tory group, Cllr Tullett told the News: I remain a true and committed conservative.

Covid testing plea to Bracknell residents amid rise in Indian variant cases

From now until Wednesday, June 30, anyone aged 18 years or over living or working in the GU47 0 postcode area can receive their first COVID-19 vaccination at Waitrose Sports and Leisure Centre, Willoughby Road, Bracknell, RG12 8FP. You can walk-in between the hours of 4pm and 7pm and note that the availability of slots is dependent on vaccine availability.
