ASA sanctions tipster for third time over “100% money-back guarantee” claims

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ordered Paul Coleman to remove misleading content from his tipster website private-syndicate.co.uk, marking the third time the ads body has sanctioned Coleman
The website, which offers insider tips for horse racing to a ‘VIP inner circle’, claimed to offer a “100% Lifetime Money-Back Guarantee” to dissatisfied customers.
However after a customer who had been using the VIP service for four months failed to receive a refund, a complaint was made to the ASA.
In response, the ASA challenged both the accuracy of the claim and whether the ad was socially irresponsible because it suggested that gambling was an alternative to employment and a way to achieve financial security.

A Christian politician in Finland could face up to six years in prison for sharing the Bible’s position on sexual ethics.
Former Minister of the Interior Päivi Räsänen has been charged with three ‘hate crimes’, including sharing a Bible verse in 2019, comments made on TV in 2018 and a 2004 pamphlet she wrote supporting traditional marriage.
The grandmother of six has vowed to fight the charges – each of which carries a two-year sentence – to protect freedom of speech for other Christians in Finland.

AG Morrisey, who lives in Harpers Ferry, has a special connection to Keyser. Not only is his consumer specialist Pam Krushansky from Keyser, but he says he always feels welcome when he comes to town.

A prominent European politician is facing criminal charges and a multi-year prison sentence after she shared biblical views on marriage and human sexuality that criticized homosexuality.
Finnish politician Päivi Räsänen, a longtime Christian Democrats member of parliament, is charged with three counts of “ethnic agitation” for comments she has made about homosexuals, The Helsinki Times reported.
In one instance, Räsänen (
pictured above) criticized her own Lutheran Church of Finland in a social media post after it sponsored a “Pride 2019” event. The other criminal counts come from a radio interview on the topic of “What did Jesus think about gays?” and from her quotes in a pamphlet that suggests homosexuality is a psychological disorder.
Finnish Politician Faces Hate Charges for Offences Including Quoting Bible

A Finnish Christian Democrat MP has been charged with incitement over LGBT-critical comments made on social media, including quoting a passage from the Bible.
The Finnish Prosecutor General announced the charges against Christian Democrat MP Päivi Räsänen, who served as interior minister from 2012 to 2015, over posts made on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook in June 2019.
According to a report from Finnish broadcaster Yle, the charges also relate to writings by Räsänen on the website of the Luther Foundation of Finland and the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland.
