Cash worth €3,800 seized in Ballymore Eustace house

Gardaí seized cash to the value of €3,805 at a house in Ballymore Eustace, it was stated at Naas District Court on May 19.
Kieran Bolger, 32, and Rekha Bolger, 58, whose address was given as 3683 Liffey Heights, Balllymore, were prosecuted for possession of drugs.
Garda James Ryan told of going to the address on September 9, 2017. There were three people present, including the two defendants.
He also said some drugs were found in a car.
Judge Desond Zaidan was also told that neither had any previous convictions.
Kieran Bolger was fined a total of €1,300 for possession of cannabis, cannabis resin and cocaine.
Barretstown looking for volunteers to help out before camp re-opens for families

Barretstown Children’s Charity in Ballymore Eustace is currently in the process of getting camp ready for Friday, June 4th to once again welcome back children and their families living with serious illness.
The venue is looking for people living in and around Kildare who might be free and available to give a helping hand on site
Duties would include grounds work, painting, weeding etc.
A spokesperson said: We’re hoping to get volunteers to help out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am – 4pm from next week and the following week.
Plans to convert butcher s shop into new café

There are plans for a new café in Ballymore Eustace village.
A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for change of use from a butcher s shop to a coffee shop.
The designs include alterations to the front of the building.
The existing signage will be changed from K Langan Butchers to Ballymore Bru.

Some 53 artists from County Kildare are among a who s who of Irish and international talent taking part in this year s Incognito 2021 online art sale in aid of the Jack & Jill Children s Foundation.
The Incognito art collection is now live at www.incognito.ie with the online art sale taking place on Thursday, April 22, at 10am sharp.
The annual sale is an important fundraiser for the Johnstown-based children s charity. In keeping with its name, the identity of the artists behind the paintings – for sale at €60 each – is kept top secret until the sale has closed.
