In the end you will feel better than you would after buying that big-screen TV.

Keep orchestra out of Payne Park
The mayor pushed Payne Park back on the agenda as a potential site for the Sarasota Orchestra. Two years ago, the City Commission rejected the plan to privatize part of the park. The reasons still apply.
The Payne family gave the land to the city for a park and playground, and no other purpose. Attempts to break that compact would lead to legal fees at our expense.
Imagine gridlock on U.S. 301, Ringling and Main, which already struggle during rush hour. Imagine parking for an 1,800-seat concert hall and 700-seat recital space.
