Hearing petitions about the Covid catastrophe unfolding in the capital on Monday, the Delhi High Court asked the Arvind Kejriwal government why they hadnât yet advertised in leading newspapers for doctors to man new Covid facilities.
âYou have yourself pointed out,â a bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli said, âthat there is a dearth of doctors. Let s not run away from that.When there is election time, we see full page ads. Where is it?â

On the 400th Prakash Purab (birth anniversary) of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Guru of Sikhism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation saying his sacrifice gives strength and motivation to many. PM Modi visited Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi in the morning and offered prayers on the 400th Prakash Purab of Guru Teg Bahadur. He visited the Gurudwara without a security route and any special security arrangement.

Paying tributes to ninth Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur on his 400th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that he refused to bow to tyranny and injustice and his supreme sacrifice gives strength and motivation to many. On the occasion, the prime minister visited Sis Ganj Gurudwara in Delhi and offered prayers.
The gurudwara was built by Sikhs at the site where the ninth guru was beheaded by the Mughals in 1675.
The prime minister said Guru Teg Bahadur is widely respected globally for his courage and his efforts to serve the downtrodden.

He was the 9th of the 10 Gurus that founded the Sikh religion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (May 1, 2021), visited Sis Ganj Sahib Gurudwara in the national capital and offered his prayers.
PM Modi shared the inside pictures of him paying obeisance to the 9th Sikh Guru at Sis Ganj Sahib Gurudwara.
He wrote:
Prayed at Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib today. We can never forget the life, ideals and supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
