Public park named after Sikandar Sanam inaugurated in Korangi July 21, 2021 Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday inaugurated a public park named after the late Sikandar Sanam, a renowned comedian from Karachi, in District Korangi. Addressing the media persons on the occasion, Wahab expressed pleasure that the newly built park has been named after Sanam, who was a very good stage artist belonging to the city. He also appreciated the fact that the park is in the midst of a residential neighbourhood and comprises both old trees and freshly planted saplings. He commended the efforts of the District Korangi deputy commissioner and the Korangi District Municipal Corporation (DMC) for adopting a mechanism for using the area’s wastewater to fulfil the park’s watering needs.
