July 4, 2021 KARACHI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Saturday alleged that Pakistan Peopleâs Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is looking to strike a deal with the United States but will get nothing from America during his upcoming scheduled visit. He was addressing a press conference in Karachi at the residence of the opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh. Gill said that Bilawal Bhutto tried to get a job as a prime minister here in Pakistan and dropped his CVs and other documents everywhere but earned no success, since he has no capabilities and qualities for doing or achieving anything in his short career.

Sindh to take control of 4,192 Centre-run informal schools

July 2, 2021 Sindh’s chief minister has approved the proposal to bring 4,192 informal schools being run by the federal government under the control of the provincial administration. In the 42nd session of the Council of Common Interests on July 18, 2020, it was decided that the provincial governments would take over the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and basic education community schools from June 30, 2021. During a meeting he chaired on Thursday, CM Syed Murad Ali Shah also decided that after taking control of the informal schools, the provincial government will increase the salaries of their teachers from Rs8,000 to Rs25,000. Education Minister Saeed Ghani told the chief executive that 4,192 schools and education centres with 4,425 teachers and 236,755 students will come under provincial control.

Shrines of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Bhittai open after covid-induced closure test SEHWAN: After more than three months of Covid-19-induced closure, shrines reopened in Sindh on Monday, reported ARY News. According to details, the shrines of famed Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and mystic poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai opened under the standard operating procedures (SOPs) today. Sindh had closed all shrines and dargahs across the province in March to stem the third wave of the coronavirus. The Sindh Auqaf Department issued a notification regarding reopening of the shrines in the province. The notification advised devotees to strictly adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that include mask-wearing, social distancing, use of sanitizers and performing ablution at homes before visiting the shrines.
