303 Gallery opens an exhibition of works by Dan Graham

.- Treating the gallery as a kind of automobile showroom, Graham s installation of models allows the viewer to become both participant and spectator in perceiving the space physically and psychologically in relation to other spectators. As Graham put it in a recent interview with Antoine Catala, In my own work, walking around is important because not only do you see yourself seeing in the reflection, but you also see other people seeing each other as you see them.

Paris gets pretty strange at times, not necessarily more than other cities, but it seems to stand out more because of the contrast with the formality of the Paris architectural infrastructure.
Euro Disney was originally dubbed Paris Disneyland, but its location is well beyond the limits of the city itself. One of the big subway lines (RER) terminates at Euro Disney, so it’s easily accessible from the city. My grandfather’s beach house in Newport Beach was 30 minutes from Disneyland, and I went first within months of its opening in 1955. While it was more polished than Knots Berry Farm or the Alligator Farm at the time, it was still pretty funky and basic. The German city of Baden-Baden is known as being one of the best European casino destinations. Home to some of the world’s most beautiful casinos such as the Marlene Dietrich, it draws thousands of luxury-hunting, casino-loving, tourists every single year.

Even though the coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot of travel plans for millions around the world, eventually restrictions will be lifted and life will be more or less back to normal. We all need a short and sweet weekend city break from time to time.
