3 drug peddlers held with 40-kg ganja in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, May 7, 2021 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 40 kilograms of ganja from Naohata area under Mohadevpur Upazila of Naogaon district early this morning.
The arrestees were identified as Rassel Mian, 25, son of Kanu Mian, Akhter Hossain, 38, son of late Suraj Ali and Nazim Sheikh, 20, son of late Farid Sheikh , RAB sources said this afternoon.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the area around 4.30 am and arrested them with the huge ganja found after searching a truck.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband goods were handed over to police.
