The holy month of Ramzan is beginning next week.
MUMBAI: Some clerics and community leaders have appealed to the Maharashtra government to relax restrictions on prayers at places of worship and allow people to pray with adherence to social distancing and guidelines issued by the government.
The holy month of Ramzan is beginning next week and community leaders who met public health minister Rajesh Tope on Tuesday said that, like last year, this year too Muslims could be deprived of holding prayers, including the special tarawih namaz in the night, at mosques.
The night lockdown should be imposed from 10pm so that people can offer their night prayers and go home.
