Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee chairman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Thursday wrote to Speaker Om Birla, seeking immediate permission to hold a PAC meeting to scrutinise the Centre s vaccination policy against Covid-19.
NEW DELHI: Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has asked Speaker Om Birla to allow a meeting of Parliament s Public Accounts Committee(PAC) to deliberate upon the government’s vaccination policy, citing the importance of the issue in view of the raging pandemic.
Chowdhury, chairman of the committee, sent a letter to the speaker saying that meetings of the parliamentary panels have stopped because of the pandemic but vaccination policy is an urgent issue that should be discussed by the PAC. Today, the Policy towards Vaccinating the people for tackling the Covid-19 pandemic has become central and of utmost importance.
