Ludhiana: As the city residents struggle to cope with traffic snarls and lack of proper space for parking amid construction and repair work, lack of coordination between various departments seems to be a cause of concern. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in an operation carried out over the last two days, busted a major drug cartel operating across central and western Mumbai. The cartel was run by two women who are absconding at present. The NCB is on the lookout for the two women.
According to sources, the two women running the cartel used teenagers to peddle drugs.
During the raids carried out by Zonal Director of NCB Mumbai Sameer Wankhede, a total of 109.8 grams of mephedrone (commercial quantity) was seized along with cash amounting to Rs 77.92 lakh and 585.5 grams of gold ornaments worth around Rs 29.4 lakhs.
