April 08, 2021 Hardening of raw material prices in the international market has prompted fertilizer companies to hike the prices for agri-nutrients in the domestic market.
Announcing its decision to hike the prices of agri inputs including di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and different varieties of NPK (phosphatic fertilisers), Indian Farmers Fertilisers Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) stated that the prices of complex fertilisers are decontrolled and linked to fluctuations in the prices of raw materials in the global market.
IFFCO makes DAP and other complex fertilisers at the cooperative’s Kandla and Paradeep plants with combined capacity of 43 lakh tonnes (lt) per annum. The cooperative earns nearly 45 per cent of the total revenue from DAP fertilisers. It has about 26 per cent market share in urea segment, including the imported urea. IFFCO’s Kandla plant is dependent on imported phosphoric acid.
Addressing the meeting over videoconference, the chief minister said that the Sagarmala project can further enable Odisha to emerge as a major logistics destination.
BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday underlined Odisha’s strategic advantage of long coastline and emphasized on port-led development through industrialization and connectivity as he chaired the first meeting the of state Sagarmala committee.
Addressing the meeting over videoconference, the chief minister said that the Sagarmala project can further enable Odisha to emerge as a major logistics destination. He also stressed on development of coastal community, a major objective under the initiative.
The Sagarmala, an initiative of the Narendra Modi government aims port-led development and improvement of waterways in the country.

Odisha: India s First Fully Operational Plastic Park To Be Set Up In Paradip

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) on Tuesday (9 March) signed an agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop Paradeep Plastic Park.
It will be the first fully operational plastic park in India.
The MOU was signed virtual in presence of in the presence of Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik and officials from Paradeep refinery among others, the press release by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas stated.
