(Formerly Bharti Infratel Ltd), is pleased to announce the 2021-22 ITSP scholarships to be awarded to 120 deserving students with disabilities. This program is available for students from northeast India who wish to pursue or pursuing higher education in academic& professional courses at levels ranging from Higher Secondary to Post Graduation and others. Indus Towers in Partnership with Shishu Sarothi Awards Scholarships for Higher Education to 120 Students with Disabilities from the North East   |  15 Jan 2021 11:04 AM GMT We are pleased to inform that Shishu Sarothi organized an award ceremony and induction program as part of Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2020-21 which is one of the key CSR initiatives of Indus Towers Limited (formerly Bharti Infratel Ltd). Of the total 120 students selected from across the North-East, 43 students with disability from Assam were felicitated during an event on 5 th Jan 2021 at the NEDFI Convention Centre, Guwahati. An induction session was also conducted for the scholars to orient them about the methodology of claiming and mode of scholarship disbursement. Mr. B. Kalyan Chakravorty, IAS, Mission Director-SSA was the chief guest of the event.

Telecom shares drop

Telecom stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Telecom index falling 17.87 points or 1.4% at 1257.03 at 13:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Telecom index, Reliance Communications Ltd (down 4.8%), Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 3.08%),Tata Communications Ltd (down 2.26%),Tejas Networks Ltd (down 1.72%),Sterlite Technologies Ltd (down 1.7%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Bharti Airtel Ltd (down 1.15%), GTPL Hathway Ltd (down 1.01%), Vodafone Idea Ltd (down 0.6%), and Vindhya Telelinks Ltd (down 0.13%). On the other hand, OnMobile Global Ltd (up 3.87%), and ITI Ltd (up 1.46%) moved up. At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 69.17 or 0.15% at 46821.17.

Reliance Communications Ltd Slides 4 74%

Reliance Communications Ltd has added 58.55% over last one month compared to 8.44% gain in S&P BSE Telecom index and 6.73% rise in the SENSEX Reliance Communications Ltd lost 4.74% today to trade at Rs 2.41. The S&P BSE Telecom index is down 0.27% to quote at 1254.84. The index is up 8.44 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Bharti Infratel Ltd decreased 0.91% and Bharti Airtel Ltd lost 0.18% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 15.41 % over last one year compared to the 12.63% surge in benchmark SENSEX. Reliance Communications Ltd has added 58.55% over last one month compared to 8.44% gain in S&P BSE Telecom index and 6.73% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.14 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 100.89 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 4.33 on 29 Jul 2020. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 0.62 on 25 Mar 2020.
