DOE awards Oak Ridge Y-12 team for substation project

The Department of Energy gave a team at Oak Ridge s Y-12 National Security Complex a DOE Secretary’s Project Management Achievement Award.
Each year, the Department recognizes projects that have demonstrated excellence in project management, a news release stated. Specifically, the Secretary s Achievement Award is presented to project teams that have demonstrated significant results in completing projects under budget and ahead of schedule.
The Uranium Processing Facility Substation Subproject winning team delivered the Pine Ridge Substation at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge $16 million under budget and six months ahead of schedule.
