Kalpataru Power Transmission Projects arm JMC Projects, a civil engineering and EPC company has secured new orders of Rs 1,262 crore (received orders of Rs 431 crore in March 2021 and Rs 831 crore in month of April 2021 till date), a BSE filing said. The orders include building projects in India of Rs 1,059 crores and water project in Maldives of about Rs 203 crore.

IndiGrid to buy 100% stake in NER II from Sterlite Power for Rs 4,625 crore

The indicative value of the acquisition is Rs 4,625 crore and would boost IndiGrid s asset under management (AUM) by 34 per cent to over Rs 20,000 crore (USD 2.8 billion).

Investment trust IndiGrid on Friday inked an agreement to acquire 100 per cent equity stake in NER II Transmission from Sterlite Power for about Rs 4,625 crore.
The completion of acquisition would depend upon receipt of unitholders consent, regulatory and other relevant approvals, it said. India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) signed share purchase agreement on March 5, 2021 for acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding and economic interest, in one or more tranches, in NER II Transmission Ltd from Sterlite Grid 4 Ltd, a company statement said.
The Centre on Tuesday signed an agreement with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for borrowing $304 million (over Rs 2,200 crore) to improve power transmission network in Assam. According to an official release here, the fund will be utilised for the Assam Intra-State Transmission System Enhancement Project , aiming to improve reliability, capacity and security of the power transmission network in the state. The total estimated cost of the project is $365 million, of which $304 million will be financed by the AIIB and rest by the state government, it said. The loan from the AIIB has a five-year grace period and a maturity of 24 years, the release said.
