New Jersey 2020 Skillful Angler Program Winners

New Jersey 2020 Skillful Angler Program Winners This year marks the 38th anniversary of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Skillful Angler Program. For almost four decades the Division has been recognizing anglers who catch fish of “not quite record” size but large enough to have tested the angler’s skill and be worthy of recognition in each of the freshwater and marine species categories. The Skillful Angler Program is designed to supplement the New Jersey State Record Fish Program. Significant changes were made in January of 2015. Massachusetts Fishing Report – January 7, 2021

Massachusetts Fishing Report – January 7, 2021 The ice fishing game is on out west and the bass bite is good! It’s often been said that ones perception is one’s reality and if you’re sticking close to the coast hoping for hardwater than you’re missing out on opportunities elsewhere. Of course it is January and for those who prefer their winters with ice underfoot some are picking up a flat of herring and heading out to western pike spots

Outdoor Corner with Lyle Johnson: Share at Every Opportunity Lyle Johnson In last week s column we talked about the release of rainbow trout in the big pond at Lamar Dixon. The trout were purchased by the Ascension Parish government and stocked for the benefit of folks to be able to enjoy some time with family and kids to get a chance to catch a few fish that you’d have to travel a long way to find them. So on Monday, the 21st, Goosie and I met at the big pond to film an episode for Ascension Outdoors TV that will air on EATEL channel 4 or 704 during the month of January. We arrived at 10:00 am to meet with our videographer, Trevor Vampran and got things underway.
