Anne Carlsen Center hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Jan. 22 at the Knights of Columbus Hall which collected 49 units of blood products for patients in need.
Forty-seven individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 43 individuals were able to donate at the drive. There were seven donors who gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Dani Helton, who coordinated the drive, and the Anne Carlsen Center which sponsored the blood drive, as well as the KC Hall for providing a location for the drive.
Bemidji community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Jan. 13, at Mt. Zion Church which helped collect a total of 38 units of blood products for patients in need.

Jamestown Fire and Police departments hosted their 6th Annual Battle of the Badges blood drive with Vitalant on Jan. 7-9 at the Civic Center which helped collect a total of 209 units of blood products for patients in need. Team Fire won the Battle with 105 votes over Team Law, which had 102 votes.
A total of 209 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 183 individuals were able to donate at the event. Thirty donors also donated Power Red Cells (2RBC), where two units of red blood cells are collected while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. Nineteen people volunteered for the first time.

Crookston community hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on December 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church which helped collect a total of 44 units of blood products for patients in need.
A total of 45 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 39 individuals were able to donate at the Vitalant blood drive on December 22. A total of five donors also came forward to donate Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution back to the donor.
Vitalant expressed their gratitude to Jenn Walz, who coordinated the drive, and the family of Cheryl Steinbrink, who hosted the blood drive in Cheryl’s honor.

North Dakota Farmers Union hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Dec. 1-2 which collected 112 units of blood products for patients in need.
There were 107 individuals who volunteered to donate blood, and 95 individuals were able to donate. Sixteen people gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. Twelve people volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed their gratitude to Tom Sanders, who coordinated the drive, and the Jamestown Lions Club, which sponsored the blood drive.
