Gerald H. Greenwood
Gerald H. Greenwood passed away on March 31, 2021, at his home in Ocala Fla., with family by his side. He was born on April 21, 1941, to Alice (Noyd) and Henry (Bud) Greenwood in Jamestown N.Y.
Gary moved to Lakewood N.Y., with the love of his life, his wife Joan. Gary was an exceptional husband and father and an exceptional friend to all he met. Gary knew how to help people when they needed it. He was generous and kind to everyone, with a fun-loving personality that just naturally drew people to him. Gary listened when people spoke to him with a sincere interest. Gary truly felt he was put on this earth to help offer support to anyone and everyone that was in need.

North Dakota Farmers Union hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Dec. 1-2 which collected 112 units of blood products for patients in need.
There were 107 individuals who volunteered to donate blood, and 95 individuals were able to donate. Sixteen people gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. Twelve people volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed their gratitude to Tom Sanders, who coordinated the drive, and the Jamestown Lions Club, which sponsored the blood drive.

Kevin Sortland
Bremer Bank has announced that Kevin Sortland has joined its team as a senior ag banker. In this role, Sortland will work directly with farmers and business owners to provide loans, lines of credit and premier banking services. He brings with him 29 years of banking experience.
Sortland most recently held the position of senior ag relationship manager in the Jamestown market. He was also a licensed agent selling multi-peril and crop insurance.
Sortland is active in the Jamestown community, currently serving as Finance Committee chairman at Victory Lutheran Church and is a member of the Jamestown Lions Club. Sortland previously served as president for the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Tourism and the Jamestown United Way.
