They are incumbent Mark Lusk and Daniel Strailey.
Lusk, of Jersey Shore, has been sheriff for 12 years and served as police chief in Old Lycoming Township.
Strailey, of Montoursville, is employed as deputy sheriff in Sullivan County and held the job of police chief in Montoursville.
Lusk said his decades of law enforcement experience qualify him for the job of sheriff.
“I have enjoyed an entire adult lifetime of public safety service. I have been a chief or an administrator much of my life and an emergency responder in police and fire,” he said. “I’ve been an EMT responder and worked in the coroner’s office. I have performed in all aspects of emergency services in the county. I get immense satisfaction in helping people.”

WILLIAMSPORT-The investigation into the shooting death of a Lycoming County man continues with no charges filed against the person who admitted firing the fatal shot.
Jeremy Weston told Old Lycoming Twp. police he shot Brian M. Miller, 44, of Hughesville, in self-defense outside a mobile home in the Fairlawn Trailer Court in Lycoming Twp. north of Williamsport Thursday evening.
District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner confirmed that Miller came at Weston but said he needs to review recorded statements of witnesses and a full autopsy report before determining if the shooting was justified.

Lycoming County commissioners on Tuesday gave the go ahead to erect a flood wall to protect the new quarters for a district judge’s office.
The contentious issue, which will come at a cost of $189,500, was finally resolved after commissioners met with Federal Emergency Management and Pennsylvania Emergency Management officials Monday to further consider the matter.
Commissioners approved hiring Turnkey Construction, Inc. for the work, after tabling that action at last week’s meeting.
At that time, they discussed whether going ahead with wall construction would discourage future development in Old Lycoming Township.
Prior to approving Turnkey for the work, Mussare said he understood the need for the wall after talking with FEMA and PEMA officials,
