Gunman tells police shooting was self-defense | News, Sports, Jobs

pholmes@sungazette.com The man who was shot to death Thursday night outside a trailer at the Fairlawn Court, 3605 Lycoming Creek Road, has been identified as Brian M. Miller, 44, of South Second St., Hughesville, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. An autopsy was done Friday morning at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. All indications were that Miller died of a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to investigators. Police and paramedics rushed to the trailer court about 6:50 p.m. for a shooting victim. “Jeremy Weston, a resident of the trailer court, called 911 to report that he shot Miller in self-defense outside a trailer,” Old Lycoming Township police Sgt. Christopher Kriner said Friday. Weston was the first to call 911, but there were others, Kriner said.

Gardner confirmed that Miller came at Weston but said he needs to review recorded statements of witnesses and a full autopsy report before determining if the shooting was justified.
