Victorville man arrested in Barstow after 17-year-old shot and killed in Adelanto

Authorities arrested a 20-year-old Victorville man in Barstow over the weekend on suspicion of killing an Adelanto teenager following an argument with another person, San Bernardino County sheriff s officials said.
Tyrese Williams Lawrence was arrested Sunday in connection to the shooting death of 17-year-old Angel Martinez that occurred a day earlier. Booking records show that Lawrence is being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga as of Monday, with bail set at $1.75 million.
Authorities arrested Lawrence at 1984 E. Main Street in Barstow, sheriff s spokesperson Jodi Miller said. Google Maps show the address as belonging to a hotel near Interstate 40.
A Landers man was arrested Sunday morning (May 2) after allegedly attempting to assault a victim with a deadly weapon. At 10 a.m., deputies responded to the 55600 block of Ruth Lane in Yucca Valley for a report that Jonathan Deyden, 42, was acting out and had broken the front window of a car and was threatening a victim with a blunt object. Deputies say that Deyden became irate after the victim refused to give him beer that the victim had purchased for Deyden. According to the report, Deyden then grabbed a golf club and threatened the victim with it by swinging it over his head, and when the victim backed away, Deyden struck the passenger side window of the victim’s truck and shattered the glass. Deyden fled the location but was later located by deputies. Jonathan Deyden was arrested for investigation of attempted assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000.

ONTARIO Ontario police have arrested two men believed to be involved in an assault, which occurred at the Ontario Mills Mall.
On April 4 at 5:15 p.m., suspects Tuvorius Mencer and Terrell Plaines physically assaulted an Asian couple after having an exchange of words regarding social distancing while inside the Levi’s Outlet Store. During the incident, the suspects punched the victims multiple times, causing visible injuries.
Two additional victims were physically assaulted by the suspects when they attempted to intervene.
An Ontario police officer was also assaulted by Mencer while attempting to prevent him from fleeing. Mencer, a 34-year-old male from Hemet, was taken into custody at the scene and booked at the West Valley Detention Center on the charges of violation of civil rights, felony assault, and assault on a peace officer.

Two Joshua Tree residents were arrested for allegedly making criminal threats in two separate incidents on Saturday (April 24).
Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, deputies were called to the 6600 block of Shasta Avenue in Joshua Tree after a report that a neighbor, identified as Amanda Lewallen, 29, was threatening to kill a resident in their home. According to sheriff logs, Lewallen was yelling at the residents and making death threats while holding a rake or broom. Following the incident, Amanda Lewallen was arrested for suspicion of making criminal threats and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $50,000.
