COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 15 Ohio State lost a 10-9 decision to Penn State on Saturday at Ohio State to conclude the regular season. The Buckeyes are 4-6 and will have a chance to continue their season next week with a home game in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. An opponent and game time will be announced in the coming days.
The Short Story
The Buckeyes led 9-8 with under two minutes to play before Penn State scored twice in the final 1:08 to complete its comeback. Dylan Folds netted both of the goals, including the game-winner with just 23 seconds remaining. Ohio State did get two shots off during its final possession but both were saved by PSU goalie Aleric Fyock.
Right on the heels of No. 1 Maryland’s dramatic comeback win against Johns Hopkins, the Big Ten’s shocking Saturday continued with an unbelievable 10-9 finish in Penn State’s win against Ohio State.
Down 9-8 and with 1:08 remaining, sharp-shooter Mac O’Keefe got the ball off a pick, drew attention from the Ohio State defense and passed inside to Dylan Foulds on the doorstep, who faked and dipped into the net.

Forty-five seconds later, Foulds swept across, with O’Keefe as the picker, and fired it into the bottom corner of the net to take the victory with only 23 seconds left.
The Creator’s Trophy
A win on Saturday would secure the Creator’s Trophy for Ohio State and bring it home to Columbus.
The trophy was established in 2012 between Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan – the three Big Ten schools that sponsored lacrosse at the time.
The coaches from Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State came together and fundraised for the Creator’s trophy prior to the formation of the Big Ten conference for lacrosse.
The trophy’s design includes three pillars to represent the three institutions: Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan
The team with the best head to head record amongst the three teams takes ownership of the trophy each year.

Collins | The Next Best Thing To Being There
The Media Financial Management Association’s Media Financial Focus annual conference is just around the corner. There are some strong advantages to its being held virtually again this year. If you’ve not registered yet, today’s the last day to do so before rates increase.

Things are looking up. Last year at this time we were in something of a panic mode, putting the finishing touches on moving the MFM annual conference, Media Finance Focus, from its well-known, well-loved in-person conference format to an online version, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that we were just beginning to navigate. Fast-forward 12 months, and we have so many reasons to be optimistic about eventually returning to our traditional in-person conference: people are receiving vaccines at an increasing rate, business is booming in many sectors, and life is beginning to feel as if it’s returning to normal.
