Men s Lacrosse: Terps Crush Bucks, 18-8

That was perhaps the sloppiest game Ohio State has played in a long, long time. If Ohio State had managed to beat Rutgers in their second game, I might have considered the Buckeyes to be pretty close to a shoo-in for the national tournament. But at this point, it would be hard to say that the Buckeyes are going to be in the field of 16 at all. The big 3 for Maryland feasted on the Buckeyes. Jared Bernhardt had 6 goals on 10 shots, Dylan Maltz scored 4 on 5 shots, and Logan Wisnauskas had a ho-hum 1 goal, 2 assist day for the Terps.

Top superstock speedway racers show off sidecar swinging skills

Superstock Sidecar Champions Kieran Payne and Asher Rees take the winners lap. Five of New Zealand’s top superstock drivers proved they were more than capable sidecar swingers at the Robertson Holden Speedway on Saturday night. A dare between sidecar organiser Tony Hislop and Palmerston North Panthers as well as former New Zealand champion William Humphries at last years Speedway prizegiving put the pressure on for the superstock drivers to front up. “William had us sidecar guys on last year about swinging on a sidecar and I said to him lets see you have a go,” sidecar organiser Hislop said.

The Next Best Thing To Being There

The Next Best Thing To Being There The Media Financial Management Association’s Media Financial Focus annual conference is just around the corner. There are some strong advantages to its being held virtually again this year. If you’ve not registered yet, today’s the last day to do so before rates increase. By Mary Collins | April 16, 2021 | 5:30 a.m. ET. Things are looking up. Last year at this time we were in something of a panic mode, putting the finishing touches on moving the MFM annual conference, Media Finance Focus, from its well-known, well-loved in-person conference format to an online version, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that we were just beginning to navigate. Fast-forward 12 months, and we have so many reasons to be optimistic about eventually returning to our traditional in-person conference: people are receiving vaccines at an increasing rate, business is booming in many sectors, and life is beginning to feel as if it’s returning to normal. But since mo

Men s Lacrosse: Maryland Preview Part Deux

The behemoth of the Big Ten looms Sunday night, as Ohio State gears up to brawl with the Terrapins of College Park, Maryland. Maryland welcomes the Buckeyes after breezing through the first 8 games of the season, their worst game a 4-goal victory over #5 (at the time) Rutgers. Maryland has been challenged, as evidenced by their early 5-0 hole last week, however a 16-0 run over TTUN stamped their mark all over that game, and the conference. The Buckeyes are going to be in trouble from the opening whistle Sunday night. Maryland starts potentially the best unit in the country at attack. Jared Bernhardt, Logan Wisnauskas, and Daniel Maltz mesh perfectly, and have carried Maryland on offense all year long.

Quint s Top 20: Our Time is Now

Monday April 12th, 2021 8:00am (Photo by Rachel Pincus/Notre Dame Athletics) As the NCAA winter sports seasons wrap up, lacrosse has the opportunity to step into the limelight. What’s happened is less important than what’s next. Monmouth and Bryant are the current favorites to win their league titles, but the margin of success and failure are extremely tight in 2021. LIU (4-1 NEC) and Saint Joseph’s (5-0 NEC) still have to play the Bulldogs (3-1) in the NEC. Monmouth is scheduled to play Marist on Tuesday, but that game remains in doubt due to Marist’s ongoing pause. Jacksonville is 4-0 in the SoCon but has not played High Point or Richmond yet. Stay in the hunt. Make the next game the most important one of the season. This is when the fun begins.
