U18s Win at Walsham Saturday, 30th Jul 2011 20:12
Town s U18 side continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win at Walsham-le-Willows on Saturday afternoon. Goals from Jack Simmons and Tom Winter put the young Blues ahead before the hosts pulled one back through James Tatham late on.
Russell Osman’s side started brightly but Winter forced Walsham keeper Duncan McNally into a good save down low early on, tipping the ball round the post for a corner.
McNally then denied Simmons before the Welsh U17 international gave Town the lead on 23. After beating McNally to the ball in the area, he lifted it over the keeper and it bounced into the net with Carel Tiofack in close attention.

Covidâs a rough one. After more than a year, itâs hard to recall the old norm. And contemplating the new one â whatever thatâll be â is daunting.
At least one heartening throwback may be returning, though â the therapy dogs who visit school kids to help them learn to read, and assisted living and memory care centers, where they provide companionship and break up the routine. Itâll be a while yet, but the drivers say âabsolutelyâ theyâre hoping to reinstate dog calls.
