Punjab: 2 drug peddlers held, 505 gms heroin seized
Shahkot, May 17 (UNI) The Shahkot police have arrested two drug peddlers, including a foreign woman, on the charges of selling heroin.
Station House Officer (SHO) Surinder Kumar Kamboj said that the accused have been identified as Elizabeth alias Liz, a citizen of Kenya and presently living in New Delhi and Sammi Kapur, a resident of Najafgarh, South Delhi.
The SHO said that 505 grams heroin was recovered from their possession, adding that the accused were travelling in a car.
He said a case under sections 21(C) /61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and their car has been impounded.

HYDERABAD: Gold worth Rs 1.20 crore was seized from two persons who tried to smuggle it in from Dubai, said the Customs on Monday.

Fake beverages seized, two arrested

MANSEHRA: Food Safety and Halal Food Authority on Wednesday seized a large quantity of fake beverages being supplied across the district.
The food authority’s team, led by the deputy director Mohammad Arshad Abbasi, intercepted a mini-truck in the Garhi Habibullah area and seized a huge quantity of the fake beverages packed in the bottles of various multinational companies.
The team arrested the driver of the vehicles. Later, the team raided a warehouse in the Garhi Habibullah and seized fake beverages and arrested one Mohammad Osama from the place.
Meanwhile, three labourers washing a manhole of the sewerage lines in Shinkiari area fell unconscious because of the poisonous gas therein.
