Lives and homes are under threat near Kwinana and Gosnells on a day where strong easterly winds hampered firefighting efforts and crews were stretched across several blazes in the state.
In the City of Kwinana, an emergency warning is in place for residents bounded by McLaughlan Road, Thomas Road, Mason Road, Leath Road, Hogg Road and Hope Valley Road in The Spectacles, Orelia, Medina, the Naval Base, Postans, Kwinana Beach and Hope Valley.
Crews in Western Australia work through the night against three emergency level fires two in the greater Perth area and one in Geraldton with two of the blazes now downgraded to watch and act level.
