The City of Grande Prairie is inviting the community to participate in the final online engagement session for the Avondale Area Redevelopment Plan on March 2 at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The session is an opportunity for members of the community to view the draft Area Redevelopment Plan and final site maps for the future use of the Avondale high school area in the short term (2-5 years), medium term (10-20 years), and long term (30+ years).

Spruce Grove is moving forward with phase one of the City Centre Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP).
The ARP was identified as a need by the city’s municipal development plan and was adopted by council in April 2020. It provides a framework for guiding redevelopment and revitalization of the city centre. In late May 2020 city administration chose ISL Engineering to design and implement the first phase of the ARP.

On Monday during a committee of the whole meeting on Feb. 16, council received and update on work that’s been completed to date, as well as work that is ongoing and planned for 2021 and 2022.
