Text Size: A+ New Delhi: Continuing his rant against BJP’s defeat in the West Bengal Assembly election, BJP leader and former Tripura and Meghalaya governor Tathagata Roy has once again blamed the senior party leadership of the state for the poll debacle, and also slammed them for “dragging the names of Prime Minister and Home Minister through mud”. In a series of tweets posted Thursday, Roy named BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh, National Joint General Secretary Shiv Prakash, and Co-incharge of West Bengal Arvind Menon and said these four have “heaped the worst possible insults on ideologically driven BJP workers and devout RSS workers”.

Slamming the BJP’s election management team for giving electoral tickets to “film and TV actors who never had anything to do with politics”, he called several actors-turned-BJP nominees such as Parno Mitra, Srabanti Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar “politically stupid” after they lost from Baranagar, Behala West and Behala East constituencies, respectively.
