Chicago police officers involved in suburban Calumet City fatal shooting

CALUMET CITY, Ill. - Chicago police officers were involved in a fatal shooting Tuesday afternoon in suburban Calumet City.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of South Sibley Boulevard, according to Chicago police. The officers involved in the shooting were assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Task Force and CPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit, police said.
No officers were injured in the shooting, but the incident was fatal, according to police. Officials have not released any additional information on the fatality.

A person was killed in a shooting involving two Chicago police officers Tuesday afternoon in suburban Calumet City.

A male was killed in the incident, according to Illinois State Police. Officials have not released any additional information on the fatality.
An officer was transported to an area hospital for treatment, state police said.

SAN ANTONIO – Three people are in custody and are expected to face federal charges following a drug bust on the North Side, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Javier Salazar said during a news briefing Thursday afternoon that the incident stemmed from a similar incident involving the same suspects just weeks ago.
Fugitive Apprehension Unit deputies served a felony warrant at the residence a few weeks ago when they found several ounces of narcotics and cash in plain sight.
