9th International Maritime Conference kicks off in Karachi February 13, 2021 KARACHI, Pakistan: The three-day 9th International Maritime Conference (IMC-21) kicked off in Karachi on Saturday under the auspices of the Pakistan Navy. The three-day Conference is being organized by the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) from February 13-15, 2021 under the theme “Development of Blue Economy under a Security and Sustainable Environment – A Shared Future for Western Indian Ocean Region”. The IMC-21 is being held in tandem with the ongoing 7th Multinational Maritime Exercise “AMAN-21”. The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi graced the Opening Session of the Conference as the Chief Guest.

Around 45 Countries to participate in Maritime Exercise “AMAN-21” February 8, 2021 KARACHI, Pakistan: Around 45 Countries will participate in the upcoming 7th Multinational Maritime Exercise “AMAN-21” in Karachi. Briefing the media persons in Karachi on Monday, the Commander Pakistan fleet Rear Admiral Naveed Ashraf said that the exercise will provide a common platform for sharing of information, mutual understanding, and highlighting common naval interests. Commander Pakistan fleet said that Pakistan Navy has been conducting Aman exercise since 2007 with a slogan ‘Together for Peace’. Rear Admiral Naveed Ashraf said that the Aman exercise reflects commitment against multilateral threats and the promotion of regional harmony and mutual cooperation.

Murad Ali Shah order fool-proof security, other arrangements during AMAN Exercise Karachi, January 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewing the arrangements of Multinational Maritime Exercise, AMAN-21 being hosted by Pakistan Navy directed all the civic bodies to give a festive kind of look to the city. “This is an honour to host AMAN-21 exercise to be participated by 46 countries, therefore all the arrangements, including repair, maintenance, paint works and installation of welcome neon signs should reflect best hospitality.” This he said while presiding over a meeting here at CM House on Friday.
