Three storage units destroyed in South Walton fire

South Walton Fire District firefighters responded to a multi-unit warehouse fire Saturday afternoon around 5 p.m.
The smoke from the fire was visible by responding units from U.S. Highway 98. Firefighters from Engine 1 arrived at 295 Serenoa Road to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a middle storage unit, then immediately began an aggressive attack.
Other SWFD units arrived shortly after and made entry into adjacent storage areas where the fire and smoke had spread. The fire was extinguished by 6 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
However, three of the storage units were a total loss.

PANAMA CITY BEACH Panama City Beach officials have issued more than $50,000 in potential double-red flag swimming citations to beachgoers in a little more than a month.
According to James Tindle, code enforcement manager for Panama City Beach, 107 people were fined from March 17 to April 25 for swimming in the Gulf of Mexico under double-red flag conditions.
