Now a man has been charged with allegedly causing the deadly Kinkuna crash that claimed the lives of Maryanne Bishop and Jessyica Bishop. Stewart Andrew Casey, 35, appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Tuesday by videolink from the Bundaberg Watch House, charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and grievous bodily harm whole adversely affected by an intoxicating substance. Casey was hospitalised after the crash and was released on Monday where he was then taken into custody before making an application for bail on Tuesday.

Both men faced Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with alcohol related driving offences. Rodney Laurence White pleaded guilty to driving over the middle alcohol limit after he crashed his car at Winfield on January 9. Police prosecutor Sergeant Grant Klaassen told the court police were called to the single-vehicle crash at 9.30pm on Duck Creek Rd. White was the sole occupant of the car, which he crashed after failing to negotiate a bend. A blood sample was taken which returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.124.

Drug dependent man jailed for trafficking business

Premium Content Subscriber only A court has heard how a man threatened violence to settle a drug debt and supplied drugs in exchange for sexual favours during a four month drug trafficking operation. Andrew Kevin Snaith, 25, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Supreme Court on last week to a number of offences including drug trafficking and possessing dangerous drugs in excess of two grams. The court heard police searched Snaith s home in August 2019. Before the search began Snaith declared he had drugs and drug paraphernalia in the garage. During the raid police found ice, marijuana and a cutting agent, as well as utensils such as clip seal bags and pipes.

VIGILANTE ATTACK: Man jailed for stabbing sleeping stranger

A court has heard how a man was stabbed in the stomach by a stranger as slept before chasing his assailant and being struck with an ironing board in a vigilante attack. Joshua Adam Vohland, 35, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg District Court on Monday to one count of a malicious act with intent and enter with intent while armed. In September last year Vohland was staying with a woman who lived across the road from the victim, who she d had a falling out with. On the afternoon of September 16, Vohland went across the road to the victim s home and was seen on CCTV pulling a hood over his head and putting on a glove.
