Amritsar: In what can be considered as a case of sheer luck, a housewife from Punjab named Renu Chauhan won a whopping ₹ 1 crore in a lottery.
Hailing from Amritsar, she had bought the ticket that just cost her ₹ 100. The amount she won was the grand prize of the Punjab State Dear 100+ monthly lottery.
The results of the same were announced on February 11, in which Chauhan won the coveted amount. On Thursday, she submitted the ticket and the necessary documents to the State Lotteries Department in order to claim her prize.
